The Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC) has registered FRIENDS OF WAURN PONDS CREEK INC (ABN: 65629929320) as a charity.

The date from which our charity was registered is 18/06/2024.

Gift Fund

Purpose
It is a requirement of the Australian Tax Office that an Environmental Organisation which is a deductible gift recipient must have a clause in its constitution or Model Rules that outlines the use of a Gift Fund.

Gift Fund Rules.

Friends of Waurn Ponds Creek Inc. will maintain a Gift Fund called Friends of Waurn Ponds Creek Inc. Gift Fund

which will be used only for the principal purpose of Friends of Waurn Ponds Creek Inc.
all gifts and deductible contributions of money or property for that purpose are made to it.
money received because of such gifts or deductible contributions is credited to it; and
it does not receive any other money or property.
and if the organisation is wound up or if the endorsement (if any) of the organisation as a deductible gift recipient is revoked, any surplus assets of the gift fund remaining after the payment of liabilities attributable to it, shall be transferred to Landcare Victoria Inc.

Non-Conduit Policy

Purpose
It is a requirement of the Australian Tax Office that an Environmental Organisation which is a deductible gift recipient must have a policy of not acting as a mere conduit for the donation of money or property to other organisations, bodies or persons. This policy meets that requirement

Policy
Friends of Waurn Ponds Creek Inc. will ensure it is not directed by any donor to act as a conduit by passing a donation of money or property to other organisations, bodies or persons.

Friends of Waurn Ponds Creek Inc. will ensure it will not act as a collection agency for tax-deductible donations intended by a donor to be passed on to another organisation or person.

Any allocation of funds or property to other persons or organisations will be made in accordance with the established purposes of Friends of Waurn Ponds Creek Inc. and not be influenced by the preference of the donor.
