The source of inspiration for the Friends of Waurn Ponds Creek logo is the branch of a young Swamp Gum. This gum is indigenous to the Waurn Ponds Creek valley.
The image of the branch also suggests the Waurn Ponds Creek as it existed in the past. Historically, the creek was known as a chain of ponds rather than the flowing stream it is today.
The rounded leaves of the logo symbolise the ponds or waterholes with the branching lines connecting the ponds along the watercourse.
